Cube Steak Sandwich Recipe With Special Sauce
There’s something timeless about a hearty steak sandwich sizzling hot from the skillet, especially when it’s packed with flavor in every bite. This cube steak sandwich starts with tender cube steaks seasoned simply and pan-seared until perfectly browned. Melted Swiss cheese blankets the steak before it’s layered onto sourdough bread and finished with a creamy, tangy special sauce that brings everything together. The sauce adds just the right balance of savory and zesty flavor to make this sandwich unforgettable. Perfect for an easy weeknight dinner, this sandwich delivers diner-style comfort food right at home.
How To Make Cube Steak Sandwiches
1. Preheat butter in a skillet over medium heat. Sprinkle 4 cube steaks with seasoned salt. Cook cube steaks for 4 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature is 145.

2. Top the cube steaks with Swiss cheese to melt and set aside.

3. Make the special sauce while the Swiss cheese melts on the cube steaks. In a small bowl, combine 1 teaspoon pickle juice, 1/2 teaspoon sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of Seasoned Salt, 4 Tablespoons mayonnaise, 2 Tablespoons ketchup, 2 teaspoons mustard, and 2 teaspoons of water. Mix well. Set aside.

4. Lightly toast sourdough bread. Assemble your sandwich by spreading the special sauce on both slices of bread. Add a cube steak to each sandwich. Slice in half and serve.
