Honey BBQ Slow Cooker Chicken Wings

These honey BBQ slow cooker chicken wings are absolutely delicious and super easy to throw together! Whether you’re hosting your annual Super Bowl party or looking for a simple dinner idea, you’ll love these chicken wings! The combination of sweet honey, tangy BBQ sauce, and savory coconut aminos creates a rich, sticky glaze that coats every bite perfectly. A touch of garlic powder adds depth, while a hint of cayenne brings just the right amount of heat to keep things interesting without overpowering the flavor.

The best part? Your slow cooker does all the work, making this recipe perfect for busy days, laid-back weekends, or game day gatherings when you’d rather spend time with family and friends than in the kitchen. These wings come out tender, juicy, and packed with bold flavor. Serve them up as an appetizer, party snack, or even a fun weeknight meal; just be prepared for them to disappear fast!

How To Make Honey BBQ Slow Cooker Chicken Wings

Start by processing out your chicken wings. This was really difficult for me the first couple of times I tried it until a good friend of mine came over, brought her knives, and showed me how. It turns out my kitchen knives just weren’t sharp enough! Make sure you sharpen your kitchen knives using a knife sharpener so they’re ready for the job.

1. Remove the wing tip by cutting off with a sharp knife. Discard the wing tips.

2. Pull the wings open. Feel where the joint bends. Cut the drumette from the wing by slicing through at the joint.

3. Once you’ve removed the wing tips and cut the drumettes from the wings, salt and pepper the drumettes and wings to taste and place them on a lightly greased cooking sheet.

4. Broil your chicken wings in the oven for 30 minutes, flipping them after 15 minutes.

5. While your chicken wings broil, make your honey BBQ sauce. In a bowl combine honey, BBQ sauce, coconut aminos, olive oil, garlic powder, and cayenne. Mix well. Set aside.

What To Serve With Honey BBQ Slow Cooker Chicken Wings

Serve your chicken wings with celery and ranch dressing. I often serve my wings with sauerkraut salad. The flavor of the salad pairs really well with these slow cooker chicken wings.
