To create a double boiler, fill a stock pot with water. Place a heat resistant glass bowl on top of the stock pot. Make sure the water level in the stock pot is below the bowl. Pour an 11 oz bag of butterscotch chips and 2/3 cup of creamy peanut butter into the glass bowl. Heat your stove top to medium low and stir frequently until your butterscotch chips are melted, about 20 minutes.

5. Allow nests to harden completely before removing from aluminum foil, about 1 hour. You can put these in the fridge to speed up this process.

Little Cooks Corner

This is such a fun recipe to make with your little ones! Tiny sous chefs of any age can practice hand eye coordination by mixing the chow mein noodles into the butterscotch and peanut butter, drop spoonfuls onto the aluminum foil, and place the eggs in their nests.
A grown up should handle the double boiler while the kiddos watch.
