Fresh Basil Peach Lemonade – Easy Infused Summer Drink

Some of the best recipes don’t come from cookbooks—they come from time spent around the table of someone you love. This peach basil lemonade is one of those. A friend of ours invited us over for dinner one warm afternoon, the kind where the kids disappear outside to play and the adults finally get a chance to sit, talk, and breathe for a bit. While we caught up, she brought out a pitcher of the most refreshing lemonade I’d ever had.

It wasn’t just lemonade. It had the soft sweetness of fresh peach and a bright, herbal note from basil that made every sip feel special. She had made it right in a pitcher, no stovetop, no complicated steps, just simple ingredients and a little time to let the flavors mingle. By the time dinner was over and the kids came back in, messy and happy, I knew I needed this recipe at home. Now it’s one of my favorite warm-weather drinks to make when friends come over and the kids are busy making memories of their own.

How To Make Basil Peach Lemonade

1. Slice one fresh peach and place it in the insert portion of a water infuser jug.

2. Fill the infuser insert the rest of the way full with chopped basil. My friend used fresh basil but I was unable to find any in my local stores. I was able to find a 2.42 oz container of lightly dried pre-chopped basil in the produce section of my grocery store. I used the entire container for my lemonade and it turned out fantastic.

3. Fill your infuser jar with 52 fl oz of lemonade. Insert the infuser lid into the jar and tighten. Chill overnight to allow the basil and peach flavors to meld into the lemonade.
